European luxury hotel group Kempinski Hotels on Monday opened its property on Dubai's Palm Jumeirah, the company said in a statement. Developed by EPG Hotels & Resorts, Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah — located on the crescent — is the company's first beachfront property in Dubai and the fourth property in the UAE. Housing the hotel and residences, Kempinski's new property is targeted at high-end travellers and residents for both short- and long-term stays, the company said, adding that the Palm Jumeirah property comprises 244 suites, penthouses and villas varying in size between 112 and 894 sqare metres. "Kempinski was one of the first hotel groups to announce a property on Palm Jumeirah. We've built an impressive portfolio in the region over the past 14 years," Burkhard Wolter, general manager of the property, said in a statement. The property's facilities include five acres of landscaped gardens, 500 metres of white sandy beach, a 1,200-square metre outdoor swimming pool, a gym and spa, and a kids' club and playground.
