The Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed that Kenya Airways intends to increase its Kenya-Seychelles schedule to three flights per week, as of April 17, 2012. Kenya Airways’ three flights per week between Nairobi and the Seychelles International Airport on Mahe, are to be on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays with timings as follows, departing Nairobi at 09:05 and arriving at Seychelles at 13:20. Kenya Airways would then depart the Seychelles at 14:10 and arrive in Nairobi at 16:20. Newly-appointed, Minister for Tourism and Culture, the Seychelles, Alain St. Ange said: “This is very good news for the Seychelles, as Kenya Airways is part of an airline global alliance. Kenya Airways remain the longest-serving carrier to the Seychelles, even longer than Air Seychelles.” Kenya Airways is affiliated with KLM-Air France, and this announcement of a third frequency between Kenya and the Seychelles opens more air access for the mid-Indian Ocean Islands.
