Luxor received Thursday four charter flights coming from Germany with 434 tourists on board.
The tourists came to Egypt to visit the archaeological and tourist sites in Luxor, Aswan, Red Sea and Cairo.
They were welcomed by Luxor council president Ahmed Nesim and the Head of Luxor International Airport Hisham el Hoseiny.
For his part, Luxor Governor Mohamed Badr said that resuming the charter flights is a good step towards flourishing tourism in the governorate.
Some foreign journalists and correspondents will visit Luxor during the coming phase in coordination with the Tourism Ministry to convey the true image of the conditions in the governorate, Badr underscored.
