Luxor governorate witnesses a state of stability and security, affirmed Tourism Minister Hisham Zazou, noting that the tourism rate here stands at about 30 percent. In exclusive statements to MENA Thursday during the opening of the tomb of Merneptah, the fourth ruler of the 19th Dynasty of Ancient Egypt, Zazou said that Egypt is not Tahrir Square, adding that Egypt enjoys stability and security, contrary to what has been promoted by some media outlets. He, meanwhile, said that Europeain Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, during her recent visit to Egypt, told him that she will invite 27 tourism ministers from various countries to visit Luxor in March to enjoy its marvelous climate and glamourous civilization and history.
