
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab witnessed signing a contract to supply 290 buses operated by natural gas to support the Public Transport Authority in Cairo.
The agreement was signed with Ukraine's City Transport Group and in the presence of Cairo Governor Galal Saeed and board chairman of Public Transport Authority Rezq Ali.
The head of Ukraine's City Transport Group and Ukrainian Ambassador to Egypt Hennadiy Latte attended the ceremony.
The Cairo governor said that the agreement came as part of the governroate's plan to develop and improve the fleet of the Public Transport Authority in Cairo.
He further said that 200 eco-friendly buses operated by the natural gas will be added to the fleet of the Public Transport Authority in Cairo at a total cost of about 500 million pounds.
