Morocco suspends Libya flights

Moroccan authorities have temporarily suspended flights between Morocco and Libya as from Monday (February 16).
A joint statement issued by Morocco's Interior Ministry and Ministry of Transportation said that this suspension of flights was dictated by incompatibility of procedures for flights taking off from Libyan airports as per international civil aviation standards. The statement added that this suspension of flights also includes the transit of Libyan planes over Moroccan airspace.
The movement of Moroccan residents in Libya who would like to return to Morocco will be facilitated starting from Libya's neighboring countries.
