
Kuwait International Airport received about 1.17 million travelers last August, an increase of 17 percent compared with the same month in 2013, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said in a statement on Monday.
The number of travelers who arrived in Kuwait last August reached 636,148, compared with 473,879 in August, 2013, while passengers who left the country last August hit 543,664, the statement added.
The total number of flights was 8,768 last August, while they reached 7,858 in August, 2013, noted the statement.
Concerning air shipping, the statement pointed out that the total air shipping in August hit 14.6 million kilograms, while it was 12.9 million kilograms in August, 2013.
