Passengers numbers on int'l flights hit record high

The number of passengers using international flights hit a record monthly high in August as summer holidays and vacations encouraged more people to travel overseas, a government report showed Sunday. According to the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs, the number of people taking international flights topped 4.23 million last month, up 8.8 percent from a year earlier and surpassing the monthly record of 3.94 million set in July.
