Passports Abshir System implements 6m electronic transactions

Directorate General of Passports has carried out, via its electronic service named "Abshir" System, at the portal of the Ministry of Interior, more than six million transactions included nine security services contributed to the facilitation of most of citizens and residents' daily transactions automatically without the need to go to the Passport Department to end them.
Inaugurated in 2011 by Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, the Passport Department has started providing its services electronically via Abshir system, to enable its beneficiaries of citizens and expatriates finish their procedures electronically by registering in the system through e-mail account registration.
This came in a report sent today by the Department of Passports to the Saudi Press Agency "SPA".
