
Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday departed for Sri Lanka on a three-day official visit at the invitation of the Sri Lankan president.
In a statement, Pakistan's High Commission in Colombo said that PM Nawaz Sharif will be accompanied by a high-level delegation.
During his visit, the prime minister will meet President Maithripala Sirisena to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries. A number of MOUs and agreements of cooperation in various fields will be signed after the talks
The Sri Lankan president is also scheduled to host a state banquet in honor of the Pakistani prime minister.
The Prime Minister will also address a gathering of ministers, parliamentarians, senior officials, top businesspersons, and members of the diplomatic corps of the Pakistan High Commission in Colombo.
