Qatar Airways has commenced a new direct route to between Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).
The inaugural flight touched down at the Texas hub this week to mark the start of a new daily service from Doha’s new Hamad International Airport.
Flights will now depart the Qatari capital every day at 0810 and arrive at DFW at 1535 the same day. The overnight return service leaves DFW at 2000 and lands in Doha at 1820 the following day.
All flights will be operated using a Boeing 777-200LR aircraft configured with 42 seats in business class and 217 in economy.
“Today we are delighted to welcome Dallas-Fort Worth into our expanding global network,” said Qatar Airways’ CEO, Akbar Al Baker. “We are particularly pleased to begin serving the home city of our oneworld alliance partner American Airlines. Together, we can provide North Texas and the surrounding region with unparalleled service and better connections to Doha and around the world.”
Dallas becomes Qatar Airways’ seventh destination in the US, following Chicago, Houston, Miami, New York, Philadelphia and Washington DC.
