The Cunard Liner Queen Mary 2, the largest cruise ship in the world, has docked in Khor Fakkan port, arriving from the Jordanian city of Aqaba as part of its round-the-world trip this year.
Captain Christopher Rynd and his crew were greeted by a number of UAE officials, including Mohammed Mir Abdulrahman, Director-General of the Sharjah Department of Seaports and Customs, and Mohammed Kareem, Administrative Director of Port City of Khor Fakkan.
At the port's pier, the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority organised entertainment programmes based on UAE culture and heritage for the passengers, in addition to giving them a tour of Khor Fakkan city and the Emirate of Fujairah.
The Queen Mary 2 is due to depart to its next stop, Dubai, this evening.
