The spokesman of the General Authority for Civil Aviation in Saudi Arabia Khaled Al-khyeera announced that Riyadh King Khaled International Airport has canceled four flights and diverted them to nearby airports like Jeddah, Damam, Al Qassim and Bahrain's International Airport. Riyadh's Saudi newspaper reported Al Khyeera saying that the Riyadh's King Khaled Airport resumed its activity after being suspended for 40 minutes due to bad weather conditions Saudi Arabia has witnessed during the past 24 hours. On the other hand, UAE's Port Jebel Ali official noted that shipments to and from the port were suspended early Sunday morning due to a sandstorm and strong winds that hit Dubai which led to low visibility. The newspaper quoted the official as saying that shipments were stopped since 2:00 am.
