Residents of a Russian town are working on knitting the country's largest woolen hat to celebrate the Sochi Olympic torch passing through the town. A team of knitters in Tambov, located about 300 miles southeast of Moscow, said the hat knitted from 160 pounds of yarn will fit on a frame 20 feet tall and more than 65 feet in circumference, the Moscow Times reported Tuesday. Tambov's culture, sport and tourism department said the hat's design will include the three horizontal colors of the Russian flag, the Sochi Olympics logo and festive snowflakes. Officials said the hat will be completed in time for the Olympic torch to pass through town Sunday and a "Russian Book of Records" official will be present on the day to confirm it as the country's largest woolen hat.
