A man is being questioned on suspicion of a terrorism offence after being arrested by officers at Birmingham International Airport after arriving on a plane from Dubai. West Midlands Police said on Tuesday that the 22-year-old was arrested on Monday evening on suspicion of being in possession of a document likely to be of use to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, contrary to Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000. The man is on student visa, studying in the UK, police said, adding that he was questioned by officers from the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit as he arrived on a flight from Dubai. The suspect document was found in his possession, police added. It is understood that the man was a Pakistani national.
