Tourism Minister, Fady Abboud, received on Wednesday at his office the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ghazanfar Roknabadi, and discussed with him bilateral ties, notably on the tourism level. After the visit, Roknabadi said that talks were relevant to activating the tourism agreement between Lebanon and Iran as well as to facilitating obtaining visas for Lebanese and Iranian citizens. Asked about the U.S. accusations against Iran of attempting to assassinate the Saudi Ambassador in Washington, Roknabadi said Iran categorically denied these accusations, indicating that the relation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran has been good and based upon mutual respect.
