
Tourism Minister Hisham Zaazou will travel to Hurghada on Saturday to check on the tourists who were injured in an attack on a hotel in the Red Sea resort.
The minister will meet with the Red Sea governor and the security chief to discuss the precautionary measures to secure the tourist facilities and tourists, the Tourism Ministry said..
Earlier in the day, two militants sneaked into Bella Vista hotel in Hurghada and threatened the guests with cold steel, according to the official of the security media center at the Interior Ministry.
Forces in charge of securing the hotel repelled the attackers, killing one of them and seriously injuring the other.
Two Austrians and a Swedish national were slightly wounded in the attack and were moved to hospital, the official added.
Police cordoned off the vicinity of the hotel and beefed up security measures, he went on saying.
