The Transport Ministry will be operating a "train of surprises" on Thursday to mark the inauguration of the New Suez Canal.
It is a tradition of the Transport Ministry to operate the train of surprises on holidays and national days, said spokesman Ayman el Sherie in statements to MENA Wednesday.
What is unique about the "train of surprises" this time however is that it will be air-conditioned and offered at affordable prices ranging between 10 and 20 pounds per ticket, Sherie said.
This time the Ministry will offer tickets at 50 percent off, the spokesman said, noting that it is their contribution to the inauguration celebrations.
The train of surprises will operate at 7:20 a.m. from Ramses Station and the return trip will be at 7:15 p.m., Sherie said.
