
Alanya district of Turkey's southern resort city of Antalya is now home to around 1,200 foreigners who run their own businesses. The number of foreigners from 100 countries who bought property reached 30,000 and annual tourist numbers have reached 3 million in Alanya. Foreigners do business in a variety of sectors including catering, real estate and car rental. Mehmet Sahin, Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board Chairman, told the Anadolu Agency 648 of the foreign business owners paid their subscription fees regularly and added, "They must be earning money and are happy, so they come and invest."
