Turkey's national carrier Turkish Airlines (THY) has ordered 15 jet airliners from US firm Boeing, the Anatolia news agency reported on Monday in a deal worth $4.7 billion (3.6 billion euros) at list prices. THY will purchase three planes in 2015, seven in 2016 and five in 2017, with an option to buy five more, Anatolia said. Earlier this month, THY ordered 15 Airbus A330-300 long-range jets in the carrier's 20th deal with Airbus valued at $3.5 billion (2.7 billion euros). Turkish Airlines, a member of the Star Alliance, owns a fleet of 185 passenger and cargo aircraft, flying to more than 200 destinations around the world.
