Ferryboat services started in the Aegean sea between Turkey's Bodrum town and Greece's Kalymnos island. A group of 140 tourists arrived in Bodrum by ferryboat in line with the agreement between Bodrum Ferryboat Association (BFA) and a tour agency in Kalymnos. Bodrum Municipality welcomed this summer's first tourist group from Kalymnos by flowers at the port. BFA Director Metin Onder said the ferryboat would serve from Kalymnos to Bodrum every Tuesday and Saturday. He mentioned that they expected to carry 4,000 Greek tourists by boat. Onder added hopefully soon ferryboat services from Bodrum to Kalymnos would also start. The Greek agency Lafasi's official Sakis Thkiakos said they planned to start services from Kalymnos to Turgutreis, second largest town on the Bodrum peninsula.
