The UAE embassy in Dhaka has supervised the travel of a number of Bangladeshi pilgrims to the holy land to perform Hajj for year 1436 Hijri, which is paid for by the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation.
Saeed bin Hajr Al Shehhi, UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh, saw off the pilgrims. They prayed to the Almighty Allah to rest the soul of Sheikh Zayed in eternal peace, and wished well to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Foundation annually incurs the pilgrimage expenses of a number of Bangladeshi pilgrims. It selects them in accordance to a number of specifications, including age, economic condition and those who have not performed the pilgrimage earlier.
