UK tour operators are starting to open bookings for Egypt tours again after the FCO lifted its travel warning on the country. Explore has opened up bookings for 10 tours to Egypt with eight revised itineraries and two unchanged holidays covering Aswan, Luxor and the Red Sea region next year. Restrictions remain in place along the Nile Valley between Cairo and Luxor, so the eight new holidays replace an overnight train journey between the two cities with an evening flight from Cairo to Aswan. “The safety of our customers is vital; hence why we cancelled all our tours to Egypt earlier this year. Following the latest FCO travel advice however, we are confident that the areas of Egypt on our itineraries are now safe to travel to,” said Explore’s sales director Carl Burrows. The operator will continue to monitor FCO advice until it is changed. Source: Travel Daily
