Turkish artist Gulay Alpay will hold a solo show titled 'Kiss your dream' in Venice, Italy, on November 8, 9 and 10. Her installations, as daily Hurriyet writes, are "interactive, participatory, and provocative and create a platform where viewers are not merely passive spectators." Alpay's work furthers a legacy of perfomative work referencing such artists as Valie Export and Marina Abramovic. Alpay lives and works in Istanbul, New York and Montreal. She graduated in the Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department at Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul and has already exhibited in galleries and museums in Canada, Germany, USA and London.
