Malaysia, Brunei and Qatar have all been named amongst the world’s top 10 Muslim-friendly holiday hotspots for the year ahead, according to a new survey. Halal website Crescentrating has listed its top 10 Muslim-friendly destinations amongst the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) as well as the top 10 countries outside the bloc. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vienna and London all take a spot in among the world’s leading Muslim-friendly destinations outside of the OIC. Destinations were complied based on the facilities available for Muslim visitors such as Halal food availability, Halal certified restaurants, and the availability of mosques and family-friendly attractions, said Crescentrating. The Halal market is estimated to be around $2 trillion, underpinned by one of the fastest growing religions in the world, according to the consultancy group AT Kearney. There are an estimated 1.5 billion Muslims worldwide, representing 23.4 percent of the global population.
