Tourism Minister Hisham Zaazou launched Thursday "This is Egypt" tourism promotion campaign.
The campaign targets the Egyptians to visit the tourist sites and hubs especially during the mid-year vacation.
This came in a press conference that grouped media people, bloggers and other social media users in addition to some artists and public figures.
Another campaign will be launched soon in the Arab world including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, said the minister.
"We will also approach the foreign markets," he pointed out.
Zaazou said prior to promotion it is needed that we change the negative impression about the situation in Egypt and to work hard to send a positive message to the world on the security in the Egyptian airports.
Committees were formed to review the security measures in the Egyptian airports, he said, adding that these committees are under the prime minister.
He called on the Egyptian youth to use the social media to promote incoming tourism and to take pictures and publish them on social media sites.
