Hazem Salah Abu Ismail from Egypt's Al-Raya Party
Founder of Al-Raya Party, Hazem Salah Abu Ismail, has refused to answer questions regarding demonstrations in Egypt.
A supporter raised a query
about the party's participation in June 30 protest - a demo that has been organised by a number of political forces and which will be taking place outside Ittihadiya presidential palace. Ismail affirmed that he will issue orders about this matter on his personal social page.
Regarding the demonstration itself, the leader said that it aims to "pressurise the ruling regime" into issuing specific decisions, stressing that the participation of Islamists will "underline the weakness of the opposition."
He criticised the Rebel Movement, accusing it of fuelling sedition and conflict between Egyptian people, adding that such a movement works to "burn the country."
Hazem Salah Abu Ismail also stated that if people turned to "violate" the peace of demonstrations, it will only but "serve the interests of Islamic powers."
