
Spokesperson of Libyan army Ahmed Al Mesmari said that the air forces raided the strongholds of armed groups in Al Jaffra area, including militias loyal to Qaeda. He described the airstrikes as strong, stressing that they affected the capabilities of extremists.
According to medical sources, the raids led to the killing of two militants and the injury of 13, saying that the injured have been transferred to hospitals in Tripoli to receive treatment.
According to residents, the sound of explosions was heard in Jaffra area controlled by the extremist groups, as they saw the ambulances tranferring the injured people to the medical centers.
On the other hand, Libyan National Guard held a military parade in Tripoli to celebrate its return to the scene after years of ban. The parade provoked the central security forces loyal to the national unity government.
On his hand, leader of National Guard Mahmoud Al Zoql praised their return saying that their major job is to keep the revolutionary gains. He added that they work to protect Tripoli and diplomatic headquarters there.
Speaker of Libyan parliament Okila Saleh called the U.N Secretary General Antonio Guterres for amending Skhirat Agreement, especially the articles related to the jobs of military commander to keep the continuation of the army and to liberate the military institution from any political influence.
