
The Libyan army managed to control the Chinese buildings and large swaths in Qanfoda district, west Benghazi, as the forces resume their battle against the extremist groups in the city for the fifth day, according to military sources.
Spokesperson of Libya's special forces Melod Al Zawy said that the army managed to control the village's of Bosanib and Magaris in addition to the Chinese buildings. He added that the extremist groups are currently besieged in a number of areas inside the district.
He stressed that the military succeeded to fully control Magaris village, while they still chase terrorist elements hidden inside houses in Bosanib. He clarified, "The Chinese buildings became under our full control now."
He praised the role performed by the air forces, saying that they excuted successful attacks targeting the extremists strongholds in the district causing serious damages in their weapons and fighters.
On the other hand, Spokesperson of Libyan military leadership Ahmed Al Mesmary denied the reports recently raised over signing an agreement with Russia. He said the Marshal Khalifa Haftar did not sign any agreements with Russia, while he signed on the registry of the aircraft carrier which is signed by senior visitors.
He signalled that they concluded an agreement with Russia to provide spare parts and technical support for the weapons already existed in Libya. He also praised the efforts exerted by the Libyan forces to liberate large swath of Benghazi during the recent days.
