
The Saudi security authorities arrested a Saudi citizen called Hussein Mohamed Ali Farag for his involvement in a number of extremist acts in the province of Qatif in the eastern region of the Kingdom.
The Saudi Ministry of Interior's spokesperson said on Tuesday that the police held a security campaign to track those involved in extremist activities in Qatif threatening innocent people and causing chaos and sabotage of public facilities. He added that the security forces managed to capture one of those terrorism suspects involved in a number of extremist crimes, including the shooting of innocent people and sabotage of public facilities.
The Interior Ministry asserted that it will face whoever attempts to violate the law and terrorize the citizens. It called for all the declared wanted to turn themselves in, and urged anyone who has information about any of them to call 990 and inform the authorities.
The ministry has published on 30 October some photos of a terrorist cell in Qatif, announcing a reward for those who have any information about the wanted terrorists. The ministry vowed to pay 5m Riyals in case of the arrest of several extremists, and 7m Riyals in case of thwarting an extremist act.
The "Qatif cell" was involved in a number of terrorism acts that have occurred in the province of Qatif and Dammam, targeting citizens, residents, security officials and public facilities.
