Israeli air strikes on the southern Gaza Strip
The Israeli army struck another building -- where the AFP bureau is located, in the early hours of Wednesday morning. AFP reporters said on Twitter that none of their reporters were injured.
Israel responded to an AFP tweet, saying that Hamas was hiding in this building. The Israeli forces also advised AFP not to be used as "human shield." An Israeli channel announced on Tuesday afternoon that Hamas and Israel have finally agreed to a truce, ending a seven-day offensive on Gaza. Egyptian President Morsi has announced that Israel's aggression against Gaza would end "today, Tuesday" and Egyptian-mediated efforts will produce "positive results" in a few hours.
"The farce of the Israeli aggression will end today, Tuesday, and the efforts to reach a ceasefire between the Palestinians and Israelis will produce positive results within a few hours," Morsi told the MENA news agency. The news came after Hamas agreed to delay discussions about the end of the blockade on Gaza.
