Guns and grenades have been used in clashes between gunmen and police
Baghdad - Jaafar Al Nasrawi

Guns and grenades have been used in clashes between gunmen and police A police source in Al Anbar province (110 km- west of Baghdad), said that violent clashes have taken place across the city of Ramadi, between gunmen and security forces. It is not yet known if any deaths have occurred in the violence. The source told Arabstoday that "violent clashes started at ten o'clock on Saturday evening (Iraq local time) between unidentified gunmen and troops from the federal police and the Iraqi army in the south of Ramadi, adding that the "clashes took place near the police centres and involved the use of guns and rocket -ropelled grenades.”
Speaking under the condition of anonymity, the source said that the clashes are still ongoing, “the city is witnessing a lot of security procedures with reinforcements being sent to conflict areas, but there is no area not under our control.”
The squatters at “pride and dignity” square  at Al  Anbar  announced their control of the north of Ramadi, while Anbar Operations Commanders  branded statement as “untrue and inaccurate” considering it as an attempt to fuel confrontation between tribes and the army.
They also published a number of images showing masked gunmen carrying weapons and grenade launchers with the caption, "Tribes Army and Al Anbar Youth Army, who control the north of Ramadi city."
Ramadi protesters had declared the formation of the (pride and dignity) army on April 26, and demanded  the government cease military operations.
The protesters emphasised the need to maintain peaceful protest, confirming that they will protect civilians by not letting armed people take to the streets. The group also sent an invitation to the southern tribes to convince them to avoid clashes with the army, confirming that they will not bear their responsibilities if civilians are exposed to any harm.
Meanwhile, two people were killed and two others are wounded in an explosion that occurred At El Nasr club stadium in Alqtanh. Also unidentified gunmen wearing police uniforms kidnapped eight people travelling from Jordan in an ambush, on the public highway west of Ramadi on Saturday.
In a separate incident unknown gunmen kidnapped five policemen at a checkpoint, in El-Jbeil south of Fallujah. Three people were killed in the process including a police officer.
