National Salvation Front's Mohamed ElBaradei is being touted for an advisory role

National Salvation Front's Mohamed ElBaradei is being touted for an advisory role Cairo – Akram Ali The Revolution’s Youth Union (RYU), an Egyptian group, has issued an initiative suggesting that President Mohammed Morsi appoints Abdelmeneim Abdulfuttouh, Amr Moussa, Hamdin Sabbahi, Mohamed ElBaradei and Khairat el-Shater as advisers to resolve division in the country.
The union’s statement describes Egypt as a state of "political and administrative blunders," coupled with high prices and "grave economic deterioration”" which "threaten to bankrupt the country, cut off sources of livelihood and increase the unemployment rate."
This potential outcome, the statement reads, is entirely alien to "the goals of the great revolution," because as we took to city squares and chanted ‘Bread, freedom, social justice,’ we never wished to create sedition, destruction and political conflict."
The statement introduces an "inclusive" initiative born out of the group’s "sense of responsibility toward our nation and its citizens," and because they are "tired of political conflicts that divide the country into two warring factions."
The RYU’s proposal calls for Prime Minister Hesham Kandil’s cabinet to be dismissed in favour of a government of national coalition, led by a figure of consensus, with Hazem Salah Abu Islamil, Ayman Nour and Khaled Ali being appointed Deputy Prime Ministers.
The cabinet, according to the proposal, should be divided equally between the civic and Islamist groups, and a young RYU member must be appointed under-secretary in every ministry.
The statement refers to President Morsi’s "patriotism and impartiality," calling on him to accept a visit by the RYU to discuss the initiative within a week, with a press conference being held on January 5 "to clarify the outcome of the initiative."
In a press conference held on Saturday evening, the National Front for Egyptian Women (NFEW) said that the draft constitution approved in a referendum was "proven void" as "80 percent of registered voters had boycotted the poll."
The women’s group announced its continued rejection of the constitution which they said had "divided the people, shed their blood and was lacking in consensus and popular acceptance."
They also announced their intention to join political forces and labour syndicates in their work to change the constitution and "resist the Brotherhoodisation of judicial and media state institutions, attempts to discard the Egyptian women’s right to freedom and equality.”
The NFEW’s statement also called for the organisation of awareness campaigns across the country "for the fulfilment of the demands of the January 25 revolution."
At the same press conference, Fat-heya al-Assal said, "we reject this fraudulent constitution which does not represent us," adding "our role in the next elections is crucial because if the House of Representatives comes in the same formation as last time, we should say 'Goodbye' to Egypt."
Secretary-General of the Egyptian Socialist Party Karima el-Hefnawi predicted "a flood" on January 25 next year and “the unity of women and women to bring down the Guide," referring to the Muslim Brotherhood chief and describing him as "the true ruler" of Egypt.
Speaking about President Morsi's parliamentary address on Friday, the leftist politician said that there "was nothing new" in it, adding that it "confirms the impression that the Muslim Brotherhood is not seeking genuine national dialogue."
