Dominique Da Silva's injury is not as bad as first feared
Egyptian club al-Ahly have been given a boost with the involvement of both Dominique Da Silva and Mohamed Barakat in training on Tuesday.
Mauritanian striker Da Silva picked up a knock in Ahly's
Premier League fixture against Ghazl al-Mehalla. Barakat recovered from a cold to take part in the training session.
Ahly coach Hossam el-Badry held talks with midfielder Ahmad Sedik about his future with the Egyptian team. Afterwards, el-Badry confirmed that Sedik would stay with Ahly and play regularly.
Last month, reports suggested that Sedik wanted to leave the club for first team football. Newspapers said that Sedik was angered by the management's decision to play young defender Ramy Rabia as replacement for right-back Ahmed Fathi, who moved to English team Hull City.
Meanwhile, former Ahly official Tarik Selim attended the training session to show support for the players. It was his first visit since he retired from coaching due health problems. Ahly players praised Selim as a group, and thanked him for his efforts.
Coach el-Badry used several young players in the training session on Tuesday, due to senior players being away with the Egyptian national team.
