Gamal Allam was elected as the new chairman of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) after receiving 110 out of 190 votes, sources said.
His competitors Ihab Saleh and Osama Khalil received only 41 votes and 39 votes respectively.
The elections took place in Education City in Cairo and were supervised by the International Federation FIFA and their representative, Magdi Shams Al Din.
As for the women's seat, Sahar Hawari won 127 votes, beating her rivals Magda Helbawi and Rehab Taha who received 34 votes and 25 votes respectively.
