The committee checked the sports facilities of Marrakech and Agadir (South of Morocco) where the international event will be hosted. FIFA also visited the stadiums of the two cities which have recently been built,
as well as other facilities such ash hotels, training stadiums, highways and airports.
A FIFA official stated that Morocco is ready and prepared to host the event. He expressed his admiration for the efforts made by Moroccans to prepare the country to receive the international competition for the first time. A FIFA committee will visit the country again closer to the date of the beginning of the tournament.
FIFA President Joseph Blatter, praised the courage of Morocco for requesting to host the Club World Cup 2013-2014. He added that Morocco deserves to host such important international event following its failure to host Team World Cup after it was nominated four times.
The Club World Cup 2013 will be held in Morocco for the first time in the period between December 9 to December 19 in Marrakech and Agadir and Tangier (North of Morocco).
The 10th session of the Cup will include the best clubs which have won the Champions Cup in their continents, in addition to the Moroccan champions, the host of the tournament. Morocco is considered the first African country and the second Arab country, following the United Arab of Emirates, which has had the privilege of hosting Club World Cup.
