
Al Gharbia Sports Club will organise the LIWA International Festival, "LIWA Moreeb Dune,' from 3 to 9 January, 2015.
The festival, which will include many sports events and activities, will be organised under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region.
Sheikh Hamdan has called for supporting and providing the latest services to fans and visitors out of his keenness to provide all means of comfort and satisfaction to the visitors so that they can enjoy all activities in this international festival.
He said that support to this event comes as part of the efforts to implement President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's directives and the backing that His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, extends to the youth, sports and sportspersons.
Sheikh Hamdan said, "The festival's various sports events, which are likely to witness an impressive turnout of the youth and fans, will have a positive impact when it comes to promoting tourism," and added, "It is a cheerful event which will attract gather an elite of the GCC youth to interact and acquaint themselves with new skills and experiences."
