The Syrian national football team is trying to arrange three friendly matches before its crucial World Cup qualifier against Singapore in October, head coach Anas Makhlouf has confirmed.
The Red Eagles are considering proposals from Malaysia, Lebanon and Uzbekistan.
Makhlouf explained that Uzbekistan coach Mirjalol Qosimov was impressed with Syria's display against Jordan during a recent friendly in Tehran, Iran, and urged his bosses to organise a friendly match with the Syrians.
A meeting between officials from the Syrian and Uzbek federations is expected to take place in Damascus on Monday.
Syria faces Singapore in a crucial Asian Cup qualifier on October 15.
