Hubert Velud's ES Sétif have 46 points after 21 games
ES Sétif head coach Hubert Velud is confident his team can win Algerian Ligue One this season.
The Black Eagles have a four point advantage
over second-placed el-Harrach after 21 games.
Velud has been amazed at how his inexperienced players have battled for first place, despite having the "eighth or ninth" biggest budget in the league.
The Frenchman is satisfied with the season so far and believes the players have overcome a transitional phase to maintain their top position.
Velud knows that that ES Sétif were outsiders for the league at the start of the season, with USM Alger backed by national and international pundits. However, USM have struggled to find form and are currently in third position with 37 points.
Velud said that Rolland Courbis' team is dangerous because it has several international players.
