Zamalek to face Juventus

Atletico Madrid thrashed Zamalek in a friendly game at Cairo Stadium Zamalek have reached an agreement with Serie A leaders Juventus to play a friendly game as part of the Cairo side’s centennial celebrations, board member and club icon Hazem Emam said on Friday .
“We agreed on all the details regarding that match,” said former playmaker Emam, who played for Italian side Udinese in the late 1990s.
“The date of the friendly game will be determined in February or March.”
Zamalek, who were founded in 1911, suffered a 4-1 home defeat by Spain’s Atletico Madrid in November last year in the first high-profile friendly to mark their centenary.
The White Knights defeated fellow Italian side Lazio 2-1 in January 2003 and drew 2-2 with Portuguese giants Benfica in the same year.
