
Pensioners began on Wednesday to receive their pension from insurance outlets, while Abul Magd Abdellah, head of social insurance fund for workers in the government sector, inspected a number of pension outlets in Greater Cairo to check the workflow and ensure the delivery of pensions. Abdellah held a series of meetings with officials of the exchange outlets nationwide to assess the progress of work and to overcome all the obstacles facing the clients.
Abdellah urged the workers in pension outlets nationwide to continue their work without adhering to specific time of work to ensure the delivery of pensions to all the clients. Abdellah told Egypt Today that the monthly pension cost reaches EGP 10bn, noting that the number of pensioners reached 3.3 million people and those who receive their pension at the first of the month.
Those pensioners who receive their dues from post offices reached nearly 4 million citizens and they get their pension on the fifth day of the month, while the total number of pensioners who receive their dues through banks reached 1.4 million pensioners, and they get their dues on the tenth day of each month.
