Recession-hit Hungary is largely dependent on foreign exports

Hungary's trade surplus widened to €316.2m ($405m) in January from €143.1m in December, official data showed Friday.
The figure was down €41m, however, from January 2012
.Exports rose to €6.46bn compared to €5.44bn the month before and €6.20bn the year before, the national statistics office said.
Imports increased to €6.15bn from €5.29bn in December, and €5.84bn some 12 months ago.
Recession-hit Hungary, whose economy is largely dependent on exports, posted a surplus of €6.8bn in 2012.
