The Moon God got its own celebration in Khonsu temple in Luxor on Friday night, as the Moon was perpendicularly aligned with the temple. Dozens of archeologists, astronomers and tourists gathered for
the event.Luxor representatives said that the celebration gave a perfect image of the temple which aimed at promoting the archeological site for the tourism season to come.
The temple's archeological supervisor refused to attend the event. He said the event was just a "fake media hype."
Scientists have said that "this phenomenon is not only happening with Khonsu Temple, it is the case for the whole of Luxor."
