Oprah Winfrey’s Chicago apartment Not that we’d expect anything less from the billionaire queen of daytime television who now runs her own network, but Oprah Winfrey’s Chicago apartment is a stunner. And it can be yours to rent for.
The talk show queen has put her $5.6 million home for rent for $15,000 a month. The 4,607-square-foot apartment has eight rooms, including three bedrooms, three full baths and two half-baths. It also boasts 10-foot ceilings, two fireplaces, a library, a solarium, butler's pantry, formal dining room, butler's pantry, wine room and custom kitchen. Winfrey never actually moved into the unit but paid $5.6 million for it in 2006 and chose to live in her condo in a different building a few blocks away. She attempted to sell the apartment for $6 million from June 2008 to January 2009 but was not successful, according to reports. Winfrey also owns houses in Elmwood Park and Merrillville, Ind, but she primarily lives in her estate in Motecifo, California.
