Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Development and International Co-operation and President of Zayed University (ZU), has signed an agreement on the establishment of the Sheikha Latifa bint Hamdan
Al Maktoum Centre for Student Activities at Zayed University (ZU).
Inked at the ZU's campus in Dubai, Mirza Al Sayegh, Director the office of H.H Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum and member of the board of trustees of Al Maktoum Foundation, signed on behalf of Al Maktoum Foundation The agreement aims to encourage students to acquire self-education, skills and instill value of the time management. The signing ceremony was witnessed by a number of the senate members, administrative and teaching staff.
Sheikha Lubna emphasised the importance of establishing the students' centre to create positive interaction among the students and build balanced characters capable to innovate and shoulder responsibilities regarding development process in the UAE led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates.
Minister of Development and International Co-operation praised the initiative of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance to support the message of the Zayed University so as to prepare new qualified human resources capable to contribute to building the homeland.
