Abbas meets civil defence commanders after snowstorm

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met Saturday with commanders of the civil defense forces as he paid tribute to them of their efforts during the last snowstorm.
The government was able to overcome the repercussions of the blizzard because of the strenuous efforts by the civil defense squads, secretary-general of the Palestinian presidency Al-Tayeb Abdul Rahim said.
He hailed their long expertise in managing crises.
