
Agriculture Minister Adel el-Beltagui has left Paris after taking part in the 132nd International Center for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM) Governing Board meeting.
The two day event focused on developing a strategy to address the food crisis especially in the southern countries, as well as boosting agricultural cooperation, improving plant quarantine and producing virus-free plants.
During his visit, Beltagui met his French counterpart Stéphane Le Foll on means of boosting bilateral cooperation and making use of French technology in agriculture.
Le Foll granted Beltagui an Order of Merit in appreciation of his efforts to develop agriculture in Egypt.
