
Arab League Secretary General Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby cast his vote on Wednesday in the runoff elections of the second round of parliamentary elections.
Araby was accompanied by Hayfaa Abu Ghazalah, Assistant Secretary General for Media Affairs and head of the Arab League team tasked with with observing elections.
He lauded the well-organized balloting process, hoping the coming parliament would bring more stability to Egypt.
The Arab league follow-up team includes 100 observers of 18 Arab nationalities.
The second round of parliamentary elections covers 13 governorates of Cairo, Qalioubiya, Daqahliya, Menoufiya, Gharbiya, Kafr el Sheikh, Sharqiya, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai and South Sinai.
Runoffs were held on Monday and Tuesday for Egyptian expatriates and began on Tuesday for Egyptians at home over 213 seats out of 222 seats contested in the second stage.
Nine seats have already been secured in the second stage.
All list-based seats were won by For the Love of Egypt in the first and second stages.
