The Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Julie Bishop arrived to the Iraqi capital of Baghdad on an official visit to discuss bilateral ties and coordinate means to combat the ISIL group, Iraqi Foreign Minister announced Saturday.
The Australian minister is to meet Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, Iraqi Speaker Salim Al-Jabouri along other officials, a source at the ministry told KUNA. Bishop was welcomed by her Iraqi counterpart Ibrahim Al-Jaafari.
A press conference will be held later that will tackle Iraq's security and politics.
