
Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa left Cairo Monday heading for Astana, starting a five-day visit to Kazakhstan.
During the visit, Gomaa will participate in the "Religions Against Terrorism" conference, to kick off Tuesday with the presence of several ministers and scholars from different countries.
Gomaa will meet with a number of ministers, scholars and imams from Kazakhstan to discuss boosting mutual cooperation.
Gomaa will head on Wednesday for the international conference of the Egypt University of Islamic Culture in the old Kazakh capital of Almaty under the rubric "Islamic educational institutions and its role in rectifying thinking corruption".
The event is held in cooperation with Kazakhstan on the 15th anniversary of the university.
Goma is accompanied by senior scientific and religious delegation grouping Egyptian Mufti Shawqi Allam and other religion officials.
